The deal
BlockRift is a free game. By using it you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language because the lawyer-version was longer than the codebase.
What you can do
- Play the game.
- Build maps and share them.
- Subscribe to Premium for creator features.
- Donate to support development.
What you can't do
- Cheat, exploit, or use unauthorized third-party tools to gain advantage.
- Harass other players, post hate speech, or share illegal content (in chat, in custom maps, anywhere).
- Impersonate the dev or claim affiliation that doesn't exist.
- Reverse-engineer the server or attempt to scrape gameplay data at scale.
- Resell Premium access or donation receipts.
Custom map content
Maps you build are yours. You grant us a license to host and serve them so other players can play them. You can delete your maps at any time from the editor.
If a map contains content that violates these terms (illegal content, harassment-payload maps, copyright infringement) we will remove it. Repeated violations get the account banned.
Premium subscriptions
Premium is a recurring subscription billed by Stripe. Cancel anytime in your account settings — access continues until the end of the current billing period, then stops. No refunds on partial periods.
If a Premium feature breaks materially and we can't fix it within 14 days, contact hello@blockrift.online for a credit or refund.
Donations
Donations support development. They are not refundable except in the case of accidental duplicate charges — email us within 30 days.
Account suspension
We can suspend or close any account that violates these terms. We'll tell you why. If you think it's a mistake, email us and we will look at it.
Changes to the game
BlockRift is in active development. Features may change. Maps may need migration. Premium features may evolve. We'll announce material changes; we won't take away features you paid for without an alternative or refund.
No warranty
BlockRift is provided "as is." We try to keep it running, fast, and fair, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the game.
